In view of the outbreak of Monkeypox and the increasing number of cases being reported from several countries around the globe, the Ministry of Health would like to inform the general public that we are keeping strict vigilance over the situation and our surveillance system has been activated.

However, as part of the precautionary measures, travelers and the general public are advised to maintain good personal hygiene, wear face mask and be aware of the signs and symptoms of monkey pox such as rash with blisters on the face, hands, feet, body, eyes, mouth or genitals, fever, swollen lymph nodes, headache, muscle ache and backache.
