Lyonpo Dechen Wangmo was invited to share Bhutan’s COVID-19 success story at the 17th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business.
Hon’ble Sowai Lyonpo, Acting Health Secretary, Heads of Allied Health Agencies and Head of UN Agencies offered butter lamps and prayers at the Druk Wangyel Lhakhang to formally start the Health Walk today. It was followed by the offering of Zhabten by the participants for the long life and wellbeing of the Great Fourth.
Pemba Wangchuk, Director General of the Department of Traditional Medicine, Ministry of Health, joined as the Acting Secretary of the same Ministry today. A simple joining ceremony was held at the Ministry coinciding with the auspicious occasion of the 14th Coronation Day of His Majesty The King.
As of 20th October 2022, a total of 𝟭𝟬,𝟲𝟵𝟰 elderly persons (65 years and above) were screened for various Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and the assessment for mental health disorders across the country.
His Majesty The King, while in Laya for the Royal Highland Festival, granted Dhar to appoint Tenzin Chophel as the new Gasa Dzongda. He has been serving as the interim Dzongda of Gasa for last six months. Prior to that he was the Director for Directorate of Services under Ministry of Health. The ministry would like to congratulate him for his achievement and wish all the best.
