The Ministry of Health is deeply humbled and truly inspired by the award of the prestigious Druk Thuksey (Heart Son of the Dragon Kingdom) Award by His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 113th National Day Celebrations. We are deeply inspired and moved by this unprecedented and priceless recognition.
With this recognition from the Golden Throne, the Ministry of Health and its personnel who are serving all across the nation would like to rededicate ourselves in service of the Tsa-Wa-Sum with renewed energy, sincerity and Tha-Damtse.

Your Excellency’s stewardship of the health sector in the response against the COVID-19 pandemic, thus far, has been truly exceptional and remarkable. We are blessed to be working under your wise, approachable, and caring leadership.
The Ministry of Health also congratulates the Desuung Office De-suung – Guardians of Peace on being awarded the Druk Thuksey medal. Born from the foresight and wisdom of His Majesty, we can’t thank the Desuung institution enough for their voluntary services in safeguarding Bhutan from the much-dreaded pandemic and ensuring peace and harmony in our communities at all times.Finally, the Ministry of Health takes the opportunity to thank the Chairman of the Southern COVID-19 Task Force, Dasho Sonam Tobgay, Honourable Chief Election Commissioner Election Commission of Bhutan and the Chairman of the Eastern COVID-19 Task Force, Dasho Pema Chewang, Honourable Secretary of the National Land Commission National Land Commission and congratulate upon receiving the Buray Marp.
