4 new cases were detected in the past 24 hours. Three are male and one is a female and the age range is 8 to 42 years. The break down is as follows:-

• One is a close contact detected in Shaba, Paro.
• Three are detected in Thimphu; one is a close contact from Simtokha and two are residents of Changzamtog detected at the RBP Flu Clinic.

Meanwhile, six people are being declared recovered. The death of a 34-year-old man with pre-exisiting conditions (chronic liver disease and kidney failure) is being declared the first death due to COVID-19 in Bhutan.
