The Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Bhutan is implementing the COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project financed by the World Bank. The project supports emergency Covid-19 Response, enhance risk communication, and health system preparedness to strengthen surveillance, contact tracing, and treatment of cases. The expected project closing date is 31st December 2022.
The Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) will assist the MoH in identifying the type of environmental and social assessment that should be carried out for the COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project under the COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Program (SPRP) using the Multiphase Programmatic Approach (MPA). While the Labor-Management Procedures (LMP) highlight the labor-management of different categories of workers during the project implementation, some of whom will be engaged in activities that raise COVID-19 exposure concerns.
